Short version: the game keeps your progress in your own browser. We don't have accounts, we don't run analytics or tracking, and we don't sell anything about you.

What is saved in your browser
To remember your badges, stats and endings, the game saves one entry in your browser's local storage (named dontpokeit_bear_save_v1). It contains only game data: which badges you collected and when, games played, your fastest time, endings found, the daily bonus date, a few details of your last game, and a list of recently shown bear lines so he doesn't repeat himself.
- It never leaves your device. We can't see it.
- It is needed for the game to do what you asked it to (keep your collection), so it is not used for tracking and needs no cookie consent.
- Clearing your browser data deletes it. Use Export in the album if you want a backup.
The game does not set cookies.
Backups, downloads and sharing
Backup codes and backup files contain the same game data and are created on your device. Badge, album and result images are drawn in your browser. When you press Share, your device's own share menu opens and you choose where the image goes; nothing is uploaded by us.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
External links
Links to a donation page ("Buy the bear a coffee") or to shop items open other websites in a new tab. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Some shop links may be affiliate links, which are labeled next to the link; the shop may then know that you came from this site.
Ads
There are no ads on the site right now. If ads are added later, they will come from Google AdSense. Visitors from the EU, the UK and Switzerland will first be asked for consent through Google's certified consent message, and this page will be updated before any ad appears.
Children
The game is made for a general audience and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone.
