Don't Poke the Bear! is a small, free browser game: one sleeping bear, one POKE button, 100 pokes, three endings and 48 badges to collect. No accounts, no downloads, no tracking.

Who makes it
The game is made by Scanecta. Every line the bear says, every badge and every fact was written for this site.

Where the facts come from
Each badge carries a real fact about bears. The facts are written in our own words and checked against reliable sources such as the US National Park Service, the US Fish & Wildlife Service, state wildlife agencies and the IUCN. Numbers are rounded on purpose ("around", "up to") because real bears vary a lot. The jokes are the bear's; the facts are not jokes. You can read all of them on the Bear Facts page.
Spotted a mistake? Please tell us and we will fix it.
Donations
If the site shows a "Buy the bear a coffee" button, it links to a donation page run by a third-party service. The money goes to the person who made this game, not to real bears or to a wildlife charity. Donating is optional and never unlocks anything in the game.
